See historic sites, dolphins and other marine life. Take a daysail or dance on the moonlit foredeck during a dinner cruise. Any event is a special occasion when you're sailing. Choose from executive daysails, tours of historic Charleston, corporate "team building" regattas, sail/golf excursions, family outings, private cruises, sailing lessons, bareboat rentals, sunset sails or island beach expeditions. Catering is available for any charter: from a casual picnic lunch or beach barbecue to an intimate candle lit dinner, buffet or simply hors d'oeuvres and drinks. We feature custom bars, beverage stations, and entertainment! With the large AquaSafaris fleet we can accommodate up to 100 guests for a sailing outing!

CREWED SAILING VESSELS
In the classic style of custom sailing yachts, SERENA continues to be the jewel of Charleston Harbor. She is a 50' Columbia Sloop, one of 10 in the world, and carries up to 20 guests, plus Captain and crew. A daysail aboard SERENA is the perfect way to see "Rainbow Row," and an experience to treasure! Whatever the occasion, you will not find a more peaceful, relaxing way to enjoy the natural beauty of the lowcountry than sailing SERENA.

SERENA is a classic sailing yacht built in 1966, one of ten left in the world.  She went through a complete refit in 1999 including a new engine, new rig, new upholstery, and Awlgrip. In early 2006 the hull was successfully redone at Charleston Boatworks and is now a gorgeous Flag Blue!  There is plenty of above deck and below deck space for milling about.  There are lifelines that encircle the entire length of the vessel and those lifelines are covered with safety netting.  Also, there is a large cushioned cockpit for sitting as well as a settee (couch) below deck and lots of deck cushions for comfort.  She has a double cabin, double v-berth, full galley and head (bathroom).  SERENA welcomes aboard any food or drink you would like during a charter and has a large cooler above deck for your use or catering can be arranged.

SAILING LESSONS

Take your own private sailing lessons! Learn basic maneuvering of the vessel, sail handling, terminology, wind as well as local information. You will work one on one with an experienced Captain. Rates available upon request.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE

GRATUITY
Crew Gratuity is not included. Customary consideration is 15-20% of the total charter fee, and is of course based upon the service you receive.  Catering, alternate boarding sites, golfing/boating packages as well as additional provisioning available for all vessels; rate quotes available upon request.

FOR YOUR COMFORT
We recommend bringing sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, camera,
long-sleeves, deck shoes and a good attitude!  During winter months we recommend you bring the same as above, but be sure to dress in layers for the weather.

ALTERNATE MARINAS
Fees vary depending on boat size and number of passengers.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
AquaSafaris, Inc. requires a 50% deposit to confirm your charter. We accept credit cards, travelers checks, cashiers checks and money orders for the 50% deposit. Please note that credit cards are accepted for the 50% deposit ONLY. Balance is due upon boarding directly to the Captain in cash, travelers check or certified check (check made payable to your boat). Cash is always preferred for gratuity. We cannot accept personal or company checks unless received ten (10) days in advance of the charter. Cancellation is at the sole discretion of the Captain. If YOU cancel the charter, no refund applies. If you reschedule, your deposit will apply to your new charter date.
